It is going to be another great, warm weekend here at the Zoo! Due to the snow that is still on the ground of some exhibits, however, certain animals will not be able to come outside. Below is a list of species that will and will not be on exhibit for Saturday, March 8th and Sunday, March 9th. Please also note that lion cubs will not be on exhibit this weekend due to conditions. We look forward to enjoying this spring-like weekend with all of our visitors!
Animals that will be on exhibit outside:
- Penguins
- Storks
- Crowned Cranes
- Hornbills
- Adult Lions
- Elephants (after lunch)
- Leopard
- Cheetah
- All Farmyard animals (except pig)
- Warthogs
- Dik dik
- Demi Cranes
Animals that will possibly be on exhibit outside:
- Okapi
- Male Giraffe
- Chimps
- Kudu
- Addra Gazelles
Animals that will not be on exhibit (due to yard conditions):
- Zebra
- Rhino
- Ostriches
- Sitatunga
- Lion cubs
Animals that will not be on exhibit (due to construction):
- Otters
- Fox
